Silver Lake in Fenton, Michigan features several high-end homes. This big lake is 310-acres, spring-fed, and also attaches to Marl Lake. It has 14 acres of islands and a maximum depth of 64 feet and a mean depth of 19 feet. The extremely deep basin is at the south end of the lake. Silver lake is also an all sports lake which means all motors are welcome. Fishermen will find a variety of fish including bluegill and bass here. There is a single inlet from Marl Lake on the south end and an outlet that discharges into Lake Ponemah on the north end. Another nice feature of this great lake is it does not have public access and is home to Silver Spray Sports. Also, you can watch the Silver Lake Ski Club Shows!
On the east side of Silver Lake, there is the 37 acre Silver Lake Park. The sandy beach is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day with a lifeguard on duty. It’s a wide grassy area for sunbathers or those looking to play catch, hang out or have a picnic. The park is also equipped with a bathhouse, playground, ball fields, horseshoe pits, volleyball equipment, picnic tables, grills, pavilions, and a concession stand. There is also a wooded area with a marked nature trail.
